Health Minister in Israel Drops Fluoridation Requirement

Health Minister Yael German opposed forcing municipalities in Israel to fluoridate their drinking water.  And in one year, they will not longer be required to fluoridate.  However, pediatricians and dentists oppose the action, and think that removing the fluoride requirement will harm children's dental health.
Since 2002 it was required to fluoridate water in communities with at least 5,000 residents.  But German opposed forcing residents to drink fluoridated water, and listed the alternatives including fluoride pills, toothpaste and dental health education.
If your community fluoridates their water (most do), and you don't want to fluoride, The Water Exchange sells inexpensive fluoride water filters.
